Substitute Information

Pullman Public Schools is looking for qualified substitutes to work in our schools and is currently accepting applications for the following substitute positions:

  • Bus Drivers
  • Custodians
  • Food Service Workers
  • Paraprofessionals
  • School Nurses
  • Teachers

A complete Pullman Public Schools Substitute Application packet will include:

  • Application Form (including supplemental applications if applying for custodial or food service positions)
  • Applicant Disclosure Statement
  • Copy of Washington State Teaching Certificate(s) – required to be a substitute teacher
  • Copy of High School Diploma or Transcripts – required to be a substitute paraprofessional
  • Copy of Official College Transcripts – required to be a substitute paraprofessional
  • Current fingerprint/background check (completed within the last two years and on file with OSPI)
  • Washington State Sexual Misconduct Disclosure Release(s)
  • Employment Eligibility Verification: Form I-9
  • W-4: Employee’s Withholding Allowance Certificate
  • Department of Retirement Systems Eligibility Documentation
  • Employee Paid Sick Leave Notification
  • Immunization Form
  • Direct Deposit Authorization (optional)
  • Copy of your social security card and driver’s license (or other appropriate identification)
  • Signed Account User Agreement
  • Affirmative Action Form (Voluntary)

Upon receipt of the application, we will review it for completion and then contact you regarding processing status. We will also provide you with orientation information about the online/automated Red Rover Substitute Placement system used by Pullman Public Schools.
