The Jefferson Elementary School Title I Family Engagement reading activity, One School, One Book, begins Wednesday, March 2, 2022, which also happens on National Read Across America Day.
Your child will bring home a copy of the book, Where the Mountain Meets the Moon, that our entire school community will be reading together each evening for the next 20 school days. The goal of this activity is to have a parent read aloud and discuss the book with their child each evening.
Most scheduled daily readings should take approximately 15 minutes. In the event that you’re unable to read aloud to your child on a particular evening a WSU student-athlete will read the scheduled chapter. Your child will be encouraged to visit the recording of the WSU student-athlete even after you’ve had an opportunity to read the chapter(s) aloud to your child. All of the recordings will remain at this link so your child will have multiple opportunities to go and re-watch recordings as many times as they wish.
