Dear JES Families,
The JES Outdoor Learning Lab (OLL) is in dire need of a “Spring Clean-up.” This past year has taken a toll on our OLL and we could really use your assistance to “spruce up” this valuable learning location for students and school staff.
We are going to have an OLL “Spring Clean-up Day” on Saturday, April 24, 2021. There will be an AM work session from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM and a PM work session from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM.
The clean-up session will consist of pulling weeds, raking, shoveling, loading debris, picking-up litter, moving items, etc. to make our OLL more attractive and usable by our students and school staff. In addition, this work session will prepare the OLL for additional summer work that will be performed prior to students and staff return to the 2021-22 school year.
Due to COVID-19 safety protocols we are limiting the number of adult volunteers to 10 individuals per AM and PM work session. Volunteers will be asked to wear a mask during the work session. Work gloves are encouraged to be worn.
Tools will be provided, but if you have any gardening tools (i.e. rake, shovels, etc.) please feel free to bring them with you for your use.
