Washington State Law (House Bill 1368; Sec. 12 [2021]) requires school districts to develop and submit an Academic and Student Well-being Recovery Plan. The plan is essentially a check-list to ensure our district addresses supports for all students. In addition, Federal Law (American Rescue Plan Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ARP ESSER) Fund under the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act of 2021, Public Law 117-2 requires state education agencies to distribute ESSER funds to address academic recovery and acceleration.
The Academic and Student Well-Being Recovery Draft Plan will be submitted to the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction.
